Erica R. Lerner

Erica is an Associate at Silverman Shin & Byrne where she is a member of the firm’s litigation department.

Erica received her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School in 2020. During law school, Erica was a Nathaniel E. Gates Honors Scholar, an editor of the Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice, and served as the Secretary to the New York Women’s Bar Association Criminal Law Committee. Erica worked as a judicial intern for Hon. Lisa A. Sokoloff in New York State Supreme Court, a clinic intern in the Appeals Division of the New York City Law Department, and as a Student Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office.

Prior to joining the firm, Erica worked as an associate attorney at boutique firms practicing medical malpractice law and consumer protection law.

Erica is a member of the New York Women’s Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. Erica is admitted to practice in New York.

She is fluent in Spanish and has published translations of fiction from Spanish to English. Erica is also an avid athlete, artist and writer.
